Prophet Mohammed was a descending High Being and founder of Islam. He received his sacred teachings from the Arch-Angel Gabriel and these have been recorded in the Koran. The Koran, like other world religions, embodies both universal truths as well as codes of conduct specific to a particular time period and culture.
